If you are looking for an unforgettable adventure you will reflect on for years, look no further than Pura Vida Global Travel to curate the experience of a lifetime. We reached out to Maria and Mohinder for our Honeymoon trip to Italy, and they heard all of our wishes and granted them – and then some! From when we left our home in NC to when we returned, every little detail was taken care of so we had nothing to do but enjoy our time together, adventuring and celebrating our new marriage.
Our first stop: Rome! Hotel Savoy Roma is centrally located, making it easy to get to all of the excursions Maria and Mohinder had booked for us, with a free breakfast served every morning to start our day off. The staff there were so friendly and offered their assistance with locating restaurants and taxis when needed, and the room was clean and spacious with a large bathroom and windows that opened up into the city. My husband and I both appreciate classic cars, so Maria and Mohinder booked a driving tour in a classic Fiat to kick off our first day and get a lay of the land, followed by a guided tour of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. The next day, our excursions were planned to the Vatican for a private morning tour of the Sistine Chapel, Raphael Rooms, and St. Peter’s Basilica, and in the afternoon, we had a guided tour of the incredible Borghese Museum, which houses beautiful paintings and sculptures from the Borghese collection.
With our pre-arranged train tickets in hand, we then headed from Rome to Naples, where we met our private driver, Ignazio, to take us to our final destination, Praiano, on the Amalfi coast. We were greeted at the entrance of Hotel Villa Maria Pia and shown around this beautiful hotel with the most incredible views overlooking the water. We enjoyed some complimentary Prosecco on one of the patios while our room was prepared and our bags were brought down. This room was bright, open, and spacious with locally handmade ceramic tile, and a small balcony that opened up towards the ocean. The staff were eager to make reservations for us for dinner each night and provided a shuttle when needed to get to our destinations. We spent the rest of our day enjoying the ocean just down the steps of the hotel where we were able to swim right into Grotto Suppraiano. Our driver, Ignazio, picked us up the next morning for our private tour of Pompeii, and then to his recommendation a local pizza restaurant in Naples before returning us to Hotel Villa Maria Pia. The following morning, a water taxi picked us up right from the hotel for an excursion to Capri, where we were dropped off on the island to explore, eat, and swim to our heart’s content. Ignazio picked us up on our final morning to bring us back to Naples to catch our train to Rome, marking the end of our wonderful honeymoon trip together.
